Social Worker/Mentor Advocate (Full-Time, Non-Exempt)

Are you looking for a position working directly with youth? Our Mentor Advocate/Social Worker position allows you to have a positive impact on male youth in the Buffalo community while also interacting with partners. The Mentor Advocate at Big Brothers Big Sisters is responsible for providing direct mentoring services and case management to a caseload of male teens facing adversity. Mentoring is provided through small group and individual interactions and includes recruitment, conducting home visits, planning & implementing activities and developing a personal mentoring relationship with the male teens and young adult participants.

Position is full time Monday through Friday and includes weeknight evening hours. Occasional weekend hours are required. Salary will be determined by experience and education and the position includes mileage reimbursement and great benefit package. We are considering applicants from all majors including Criminal Justice, Sociology, Social Work, Education, Psychology and related Human Services. Experience is important to us so we can also consider a degree in other majors as well, but a Bachelor’s degree is required. Having a personal vehicle is also a must! Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!
