Volunteer Recruitment Specialist- Bilingual/Spanish
Responsibilities:
The role for this bilingual individual will be as the agency’s Hispanic community education coordinator. Responsibilities include acting as liaison between BBBS and local families to educate and promote mentoring. Recruitment of at-risk youth clients and volunteer mentors will be a priority. The youth will be served through long-term mentoring relationships with adult mentors. Additionally, this position has responsibilities for community outreach including creating a BBBS presence at local Hispanic community events in an effort to solicit client referrals and mentoring candidates. Ideal candidates will be fluent in Spanish and will develop strong working relationships community leaders/organizations. The individual will be able to work independently to successfully reach recruiting goals, and will have strong public speaking and communications abilities and will have developed organizational skills.
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Implementing targeted volunteer recruitment programs including conducting presentations to large and small groups, holding information tables, participating in local Hispanic festivals/events and assisting in media campaigns
- Identifying and approaching Hispanic organizations to develop strategic partnerships
- Developing and implementing community advertising campaigns through creation and distribution of all agency marketing materials
- Collaborating with other Community Relations staff to plan, coordinate and implement special events
- Assisting the Director of Community Relations in accomplishing agency recruitment goals
Requires:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Fluency in Spanish
- New York State Driver’s License and personal transportation
- Capacity to design, create and modify agency marketing materials (brochures, posters, mailings, etc.)
- Ability to communicate effectively in writing, as well as verbally
- Willingness to undergo extensive screening process
- Ability to work non-traditional hours, including regular evenings & occasional weekends

Social Worker/Case Manager - Bilingual/Spanish

Candidates must be fluent in Spanish, have Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, have well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse populations and have personal transportation. Ideal candidates will have experience working with youth and experience with youth/families in Human Service field.

Volunteer Enrollment Coordinator
Responsibilities:
Coordinating the enrollment process for volunteer applicants interested in mentoring at-risk youth in 1:1 relationships. Candidates must have exceptional communications skills, well-developed organizational abilities and a commitment to the community.
