The Western New York Community has lost one of its finest; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie County mourns the loss of our Founder & CEO, Robert F. Moss, who passed away suddenly on August 14, 2010. We join with the thousands of individuals that he impacted throughout his career and personal life, to extend our deepest felt sympathies to his family.
Bob dedicated his life to this program, which has touched the lives of over 7,000 young people who are "on the brink of success" (a term he preferred to use instead of "at-risk"). The impact of his leadership and innovation in the field of mentoring will be felt for generations to come.
In honor of Robert's unwavering commitment and dedication to the program and the quality of the services provided by the agency – Robert's legacy, will continue. To ensure that sentiment, the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors has named longtime Board member and current Board President, David T. Hore, Interim-CEO. |
