Big Brother Eddie and Little Brother Shamel were matched in August 2008. When asked why he became a Big Brother Eddie shared, “I wanted to make a difference in someone’s life and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity.”

This match really enjoys getting together. Eddie shared, “Big Brothers did a great job matching my Little Brother and I together. We are interested in the same things and we are both outgoing.” They have attended a number of events hosted by Big Brothers and visited places like Chuckie Cheese and Adventure Landing. However, on many days these two put education first. Big Brother Eddie will help his Little Brother with homework and reading.

Big Brother Eddie would tell anyone that’s considering becoming a Big Brother, “The program is very rewarding. You truly invest your time and energy in your Little. They learn a lot about you and you definitely learn from them. This experience has been one of the best experiences in my life."
