Big Sister Michelle and Little Sister Paige are a great match and are still going strong after almost two years of friendship!  Since their introduction, the two have enjoyed trying new things and say they have become as close as many biological sisters.

Michelle and Paige really enjoy coloring, drawing and even spending time outdoors hiking and looking for animals at various parks and playgrounds. The two even shared an experience that was particularly special for Paige: her first time horseback riding.  What could be a daunting challenge turned out to be a lot of fun for the two of them, and Paige has looked forward to every lesson since. “The most rewarding part about being a Big Sister is when Paige gets to do things she never thought she’d be able to do,” said Michelle.

Michelle has nothing but wonderful things to say about her experience with her Little Sister. She has noticed changes in Paige that even include her being more positive about school and her friends. “ My favorite part about being a Big Sister is when I go to Paige’s house to pick her up and she’s in the window looking for me. I see the genuine smile on her face that means she’s happy I’m there- It’s a great feeling.”  Michelle also shared that her motivation to become a Big Sister came from her desire to give back to her community and have a chance to act like a kid again herself- and Paige has definitely made that happen!
