Big Brother Tim and Little Brother Brian have been matched since May 2009. When asked about becoming a Big Brother Tim shared, “It's just something I've always thought of doing and finally decided it was the right time to do it.”

This Big & Little match enjoys doing simple things together like grabbing a bite to eat or playing the Nintendo Wii. Little Brother Brian is also good at coming up with his own random and fun ideas of what he’d like to do with his Big Brother. At his Little Brother’s suggestion, Tim has taken Brian to the Naval Park and bowling. They have even baked a cake! Recently, through a donation to Big Brothers, Tim was able to take Little Brother Brian to his first Buffalo Bills game. Tim said it was fun watching how amazed Little Brother Brian was at the size of the stadium, how many people were there and of course, how long the line for nachos was! With all these great experiences, it’s no wonder that when we asked Big Brother Tim to describe his experience as a Big Brother in three words, he said, “no dull moments.”

Although the two have been matched for only five months, Big Brother Tim feels like they have known each other longer. He said he has already seen positive changes in Brian’s attitude toward him, his family and people they meet when they hang out together. Big Brother Tim would tell someone considering becoming a Big Brother, “It's not as difficult as you think.  Things aren't always going to go as planned, but every time we hang out it's a learning experience, for both of us”.
