The New Year is a perfect time to give back and becoming a mentor is one of the best investments you can make in the future of an at-risk child.

• 96.7% of the children matched through BBBSEC were promoted to the next grade level at the end of the 2011 school term.
  
  
• 96.4% of the clients evaluated showed improvement in the area of Self-Confidence (a sense of being able to do or accomplish something).
  
  
• 76.4% of the clients evaluated showed improvement in the area of Sense of the Future (knows about educational and career opportunities).
  
  
• 87.3% of the clients evaluated showed improvement in the area of Attitude toward School (is positive about going to school and what can be learned).
